day 1 : your vacation starts with a pleasant flight to cairo- the capital city of egypt and the largest city of africa. upon arrival, our local representative will meet you at the airport. depart for the western desert oasis town of bahariya.
day 2: embark on a 4 wheel drive for a visit of the black dessert, black mountain, crystal mountain, agabat and desert rose. the basalt canyons and cliffs created by the extinct volcanoes and lava flows. proceed to explre the white desert area, a spectacular region of wind-eroded limestone formations. (first batch of visitors).
about my first day:
flight delayed for 3 hours thus meals were complimentary. i wore a 3/4 pants there and i didnt know that a conservative girl like me became the most revealin' girl at bahrain. yes, many stared.. especially those religious muslims. sorry la, 13 hours of plane ride.. more comfortable right? anyway, egypt is really a religious country. prayers can be heard through the pa system in the airport. 95 percent are muslims in egypt. now u know why.
about my 2nd day:
toilet was horrible, fear factor. and cairo's traffic holdup is much much worser than in vietnam. didnt expect that.. the 4 wheel drive is one special and adventurous one..deserts' sands were ten times smoother than SAMM'S HAIR although her's smooth enough. (*laughs).white desert is amazin' and i didnt want to come back. crystal desert is an eye opener. wanted to bring some crystals back but too bad,i saw a signboard.(scroll below the pics to see the sign) ;p durin' the night, the stars were everywhere.. one sight i couldnt forget.. but on the other hand, i shivered.
