before i start,would like to admit that im glad few still drop by here. :)
many good and bad things had happened. well,start off from the good. got 43/50 for history,fortunately an A. presentation 2 on tourism also an A. its a fucked up project,that cause fucked up problems and took up my time the most. what were the fucked up problems? lets put it this way...just a lack of understanding. but as a leader,i hope im not taken advantage of. i admit,im capable in doing somethings,but HELLO! whats a group for? wont it be better if 5 strong person put in 500%? its useless to have a group if theres only a few men working. and reason for not giving tasks to other members...when i give,pple start throwing faces with diff kind of expressions to me. they either dont do their task well,or they dont do at all. IN THE END,its the rest working to cover up for them again. TELL ME,WHAT'S A GROUP FOR? thus i wasnt happy getting an A at all,cos those simply wont learn.
dont come telling me,those faces wasnt black faces.. need a mirror or something? i hate excuses. and do not apologise to me,accompanied with alllllllll excuses lying after a "sorry". eg." im SORRY for everything,BUT u know,that day i didnt do it." hey come on,if u want to say sorry,NO NEED ANY buts. because if u didnt do it,then SORRY FOR WHAT? dont come saying sorry just for the sake of taking the easy way out. just EXPLAIN,and reflect. ok,im done with this.

yesterday. MICE seminar at raffles. some parts caught my attention.pictures of the marina i.r esp. the rest didnt... In tourism,we students are often asked,"which line do u want to work in?".
choices given are alwys :
- hotel
- food and beverages
- travel (including airline,travel agencies)
- exhibitions and meetings
- attractions
- gaming (casino)
i havent really found a solid goal to work towards. i will be glad to be adviced.1 & 2 are defintely out.
im also proud that im a hakka. a pure one as both my parents are. seldom do i have frens who are hakkas. and ive been picking up the language quite well.. it would be a certain shame if i wasnt able to speak that few lines ya? but of our modern age now,its kinda hard to find youngsters with a medieval attitude towards dialects n traditions. but im gon try hard to keep that..
i must admit i do have a pride in my religion n dialect. true n rare to me.
next,im comforted to know that i have relatives from foreign countries. vietnamese n indonesian aunties. they are truly here for a proper marraige and family. not like what many think..pple shud stop stereotype that ALL the chinese,vietnamese n indonesians ladies are here for money and more money. hello,not all. probably that few. but anyway,we arent biological related,just that im fucking close with them already,i treat them just like my own too. will stand by all means for them.. proud that they are doing well with my uncles. epitomes of capable housewives n new century breadwinners. oh yes,having relatives from vietnam n indonesia doesnt mean i have the country blood. im A PURE SINGAPOREAN.
often im asked if im a malay,a thai,a phillipino,an indonesian,a vietnamese,a taiwanese,a japanese (because of my religion) or an ABC( AMERICAN BORN CHINESE). hell not,IM A PURE SINGAPOREAN. trying my best to be proud of being one. :)
once,theres this group of guys wanting to catch my attention on bus 190..they tried too hard to communicate with me. they spoke all types of languages, (til i dont know if those ever exists). they were just blindly guessing which race i belongs to...sorry,but i ignored. conclusion is,don try too hard. just speak english or mandarin. ;)

reached demo kitchen,they went "happy birthday to u,happy birthday to u....." i think they sounded good. all matured voices. can join the choir. not bad,not bad. during ctis,the class celebrated both,terence n my birthday. august babies. terence's birthday is on the 30th,looking forward for sure! so we had a cake each. as usual,the same routine,birthday song,wishes which i hope i didnt have to stop,take pictures,cut cake,eat cake. i felt great. first year celebrating with dtm students. they have all been nice to me. so here's a list of things i got from my classmates.

nisa,jing ning : my lil bird sang the loudest in class for me. love u girl. they gave a box with candies n notepad inside. creative!
thomas,terence : pink grand piano music box. with "love story" (the title of the song) by richard clayderman. first time receiving a music box. :)
charwin : tamagotchi. he named it reila. nv thought that he will give that to me. :p and the card he made on his own,the way he wrapped the box with the cloth,i cudnt tell its from a guy. well done!
the most fortunate thing is,to have received 3 cakes a day.

however,theres a gd news. we got back our econs paper n i made my target come true. i did score. got a 53 out of 60. meaning an A. nevertheless,i nv thought tt i could be the highest in class. so,efforts been paid off.Econs is a totally fresh subject to me,so i felt comforted with the results. for those who have done well,lets be encouraged to do better n better. for those who didnt,its nothing big deal. the major exams has yet to come. so we still have time to mug hard for it. :)

aiya,its ok lar. actually i know,its nothing big deal abt it. in fact,i got a big scolding from them at 2am when they just came back. firstly,i was scolded for a few things. my brother didnt lock the door well,n I WAS SCOLDED. this n that,this n that. im the only girl n i dont mind doing the household chores at all. but i thought my younger br0,15 is old enough to share the responsibility of taking care of the house with me. such as,checking if the doors are locked,the lights are switched off,the windows are closed,the fishes are fed,blah blah blah blah....but im doing almost everything. n so i was held responsible for things like that not fulfilled.
n i told charwin,birthday is ntohing big deal after all. its just the day i was born,to dress up like a girl,to live the way im supposed to,to obey the family rules,and the family values.
here are the good things i accomplished/got so far.
- of cos passing my grade 8 practical piano.
- growing a few cms taller,BUT I NEED MORE.
- having the chance to study the course,tourism.
- gd working experience at pois boutique.
- gd working experience at holiday inn hotel.
- gd working experience being an exhibitor. though just for 4 days.
- DTM'06 people.
- new found friends.
- having the ideal dream phone.
- having good appraisals.
here are the things i hoped they didnt happen.
- 4th uncle's death. (damn it,still cant get over it. i hide my sadness through happiness)
- parents forgetting about my birthday.
- grown fatter. (okokokok,cutting down)
- having seen the true colours of pple whom i called "friends". (f off)
- being smooth in life when my frens aint.
were in very deep thoughts when the maid next door rang my doorbell..she told me theres something on the ground,n its raining so i'll have to pick it up. oh wells,its my birthday present. was surprised. it was lukai's gift to me.on my doorstep. wondered how long it had been left there.. at least,something to cheer me up on a gloomy day. thanks alot lukai.
alamak,what a day to start off. i just have few hours more to go...self-fulfilling prophecy says,"i have to be happy today" ,thus i will behave n act in that way,n i wil be happy after all.....
pq,the NO-SENSE-OF-DIRECTION-GIRL,led us to NOWHERE. *laughs. she wanted to bring us to this "famous" seafood restaurant nearby yishun stadium. she described the place as "run-down,tall brown building." when we reached there,i felt lost. no brown buildings,no restaurants. asked residents there,they have no idea at all. so we concluded, that the place was nv been built. or rather,built in pq's dreams. but pq,u're forgiven,cos haha,not the first time. =p

so we finally confessed. and we exchanged our last gifts. picture one,was from thomas,my mortal. it was the biggest gift in the class. everyone was exchanging small handy sweet lil gifts. then it was my turn n when i confessed im thomas's angel,he took this really big red plastic bag with all the food inside n 'BOMB',"thats for u,see how u bring home.." omg..i was damn shocked. it was quite heavy. he was out to disturb his angel la..picture look small,but its really a big pack. thanks to roy for the ride back.. thanks to thomas for everything. though im not running away frm home or preparing for war,but those are really useful to my daily life.
picture 2,from my angel. he meant"beautiful yet strong". cactus is beautiful,n strong. i was just telling them that cactus are so nice..n during the confession,my angel gave me that. i adore cactus because of their unique spikes n like what my angel said,"beautiful yet strong"....on top of that its my family heritage. for those who came to my house before,they might have seen that 3 BIG CACTUS with dragonfruits just outside my gate(no longer there now)..mum loves planting cactus. well,THANKS to my angel.
