aloha! back in town.
how's egypt ?
it's the best country i had ever been right up to NOW. it's more than the mummies, their magnificent history, their unbelievable majestic infrastructures, their natural beauties.. they have all that u cant see in singapore here. just a plane ride apart and everything is the opposite. i would say that their people are the nicest and not the nicest. walk along the sidewalk, and the attention will be on u. the children will kiss u as if u are their mother, the teenagers will crowd around u as though u are an alien, the adults will stare into your face and not blink.

i felt like a superstar. everybody wants to have a picture with me.. *blushes*

then u turn right, and walk along the other sidewalk.
people pull your hands with their dirty hands, touch your hair and dont want to let go, kissed your cheeks when they arent children anymore, round their hands around your body, squeeze your waist hard when taking pictures, and ask to marry in exchange of camels. they stare at u with a foxy look, and declare their love loud and clear. pester u for money and followed u till u find your habibi. (it means someone dear to u, a darling.-egyptian arabic language)

apart from the egyptians, egypt's archaeological wonders for centuries is a wow wow wow. Many of the magnificent monuments in Egypt, were already 2500 years old. Most, from the pyramids of giza to the astonishingly beautiful temples of karnak or philae, or the painted tombs in the valley of the kings, are worthed being marvelled over. The sheer age of this great civilization is mind-blowing.
the nile river can be seen as a river of life to me..Whether on a cruise ship or traditional felucca, life on the water is a constant visual feast, while the few huge, dusty cities cairo, aswan and luxor are a babble of exotic sounds and smells. Egypt is greatly a land of contrasts. just beyond the Nile Valley is a burning desert. most might have think that desert is a place of heat, but hey, many had their winter clothings over in the day.. durin' the night, the stars above the desert vie for attention. they were like a dreamy fantasy, countless of em'.

enough of sayin'.

words cant prove any. neither can the pictures. u just have to witness it all. it is not wise for u to give this country a miss. for me, its a once in a lifetime opportunity that money can finally buy something- the experience. so, i take back my words for sayin' " im not really looking forward" or " i wont give that a second visit". im now lookin' forward for a second visit! so habibi, spend the lil time and money and fly there!

p.s: pictures of my trip will be uploaded soon. *cross fingers* currently tied up with programmes.
